 The trains brought lots of people, there was live music, lots of burgers and hot dogs were served, pumpkins were inspected, sold, and even chucked! Lots of pictures were taken too and we've posted them in our gallery for you to enjoy.

Fairfield Mural Completed
|
 The Fairfield Mural Project, a project of the Fairfield-Suisun Rotary Club, has completed painting its second mural in Downtown Fairfield. The mural, entitled "The Natural Beauty of Solano County", was painted by master muralist, Cathy McClelland.

 The Fairfield-Suisun Rotary Club participated in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life on July 21 and 22, 2007. Team captains Steve Crowe and Cynthia Garcia led the Rotarians Rumble team to raise over $1,500.

Last Week's Program
Joe Niccoli, president of the Vacaville Sunrise Club, told us what we
should look for in selecting a quality nursing home (though he warned
that it will be our kids who select ours).
An 11-year veteran of the nursing home business, Joe has been owner
and manager of the Vacaville Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center
for the past six years.

Geoff reminded members how fortunate we are to have roofs over our heads and know where
our next meal is coming from and to have the opportunity and wherewithal to help others in the world through Rotary.
Club Project News
Representatives of Armijo, Fairfield and Rodriguez High Schools were present at last week’s meeting to accept Sober Grad Night checks from our club. John Forth, Lori Russell
and Monica Rohrer each received a $500 check for their respective schools.
Past President Gordon Gibson announced that interviews of this year’s “outstanding group” of Assist-A-Grad applicants have been completed and the winners selected, though they
cannot be announced until the time of the official presentation of awards.

2009 Celebracion International Fundraiser
The Fairfield-Suisun Rotary Club invites you to participate in a unique, festive event-our 15th Annual Celebracion International fundraiser to fund our international and local charitable projects. The event will be held on Friday, May 15, 2009 starting at 5:30 PM at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fairfield. What makes this event different? One attendee will win $10,000 in CASH during the evening in a reverse raffle/opportunity drawing. There will be 29 other cash prizes awarded.
