Fairfield Mural Completed

 The Fairfield Mural Project, a project of the Fairfield-Suisun Rotary Club, has completed painting its second mural in Downtown Fairfield. The mural, entitled "The Natural Beauty of Solano County", was painted by master muralist, Cathy McClelland.

 The Fairfield-Suisun Rotary Club participated in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life on July 21 and 22, 2007. Team captains Steve Crowe and Cynthia Garcia led the Rotarians Rumble team to raise over $1,500.

Rotarian Suzanne Bragdon gave us an update on the economy from both the local and state levels. This topic is important because it impacts revenues, jobs and ultimately services. Interestingly, this presents a real challenge for the public sector: when the economy is down, demand for public services go up.

Rotary Buddies Day - May 7th - Dixon Fairgrounds
The Annual Rotary Buddies’ Day will take place at the Dixon Fairgrounds on May 7th. Be there at 8:30am to enjoy a little fellowship with coffee and donuts. For those who have not
participated in this event, it’s one you do not want to miss. Special Ed students from around the county show up about 9am and are paired with a Rotarian.
37th Outhouse Open (Hack & Whack) Golf Tourney
As of right now, we are only 65 days away from our Tee-Time. Preparations are, however, well underway. Ten Club members met last Friday at a spirited meeting that took place at Favela’s restaurant. In attendance were Earl, Tara, Talyon, Carol, Jim Inks, Dale, Rene, Kendall and Mike Garver.
