The trains brought lots of people, there was live music, lots of burgers and hot dogs were served, pumpkins were inspected, sold, and even chucked! Lots of pictures were taken too and we've posted them in our gallery for you to enjoy.

Fairfield Mural Completed
|
The Fairfield Mural Project, a project of the Fairfield-Suisun Rotary Club, has completed painting its second mural in Downtown Fairfield. The mural, entitled "The Natural Beauty of Solano County", was painted by master muralist, Cathy McClelland.

The Fairfield-Suisun Rotary Club participated in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life on July 21 and 22, 2007. Team captains Steve Crowe and Cynthia Garcia led the Rotarians Rumble team to raise over $1,500.

In April, about 50 Fairfield-Suisun Rotarians participated in “Rotarians at Work Day” by joining City of Suisun City staff in the community’s second Neighborhood Cleanup Day.

Last Week's Program
Our program last week was hot, hot and more hot!The Club’s third District 5160 Governor (Earl Kilmer) conducted his official Governor’s Business with his home club. This was Earl’s 65th ClubVisit with only a couple more to do. The members of the Fairfield-Suisun Rotary Club were dressedin “red” to recognize Governor Earl’s fire related theme this year. If you were not present last weekyou missed all of the past Presidents donning real firefighter helmets (compliments of Tom Myers) and lighting up their BIC lighters while singing the old hit song “Duke, Duke, Duke, Duke of Earl…”
Visiting Rotarians Last Week
We had a great group of Visiting Rotarians last week. From the
Walnut Creek SR Club we had District Governor Nominee
Dave Dacus (2011-2012) and for our newer members, Dave
is also a Past President of the Cordelia Club. Past District
Governor and Honorary Member Candy Pierce (2006-2007)
visited with us from the Cordelia Rotary Club and District
Governor Nominee-Elect Laura Day (2012-2013) was also
present last week. She is a member of the San Ramon Valley
Club. We also had Rotarian Jim Noad visit us from the Napa
Sunrise Rotary Club. He is involved in Estate Planning and
Rotarian Blaine Goodwin from the Santa Rosa Downtown
Sunrise Club. Blaine is the Regional Development Officer in
the North Bay with the Salvation Army.
Outhouse Open (Hack & Whack) Golf Tournament - Mark Your Calendar - June 4th 2010
PDG Mike will be chairing the Golf Tournament again
this year. We have our first corporate sponsor for the golf
tournament, Fairfield Chevrolet is sponsoring a “Hole-In-One”
contest. Thanks goes to member Dan Wroten. We also have
our first volunteer…Thanks John Thompson for stepping up
early on!Mike will be making telephone calls seeking your
assistance.
Four Paul Harris Awards Presented
International Board Member Stan Wellins called four
members to the lectern. Rotarian Tara Dacus received her
second Paul Harris Fellowship. Rotarian Suzanne Bragdon
accepted a second Paul Harris Fellowship on behalf of her
husband Kirk Bragdon. Rotarians Dilenna Harris and Rob
Henley each received their third Paul Harris Awards. If you add
all of the funds mentioned above, they amount to thousands
of dollars for the Rotary Foundation. A big “Thank-You” goes to
each of the above Rotarians!
